Yeah! for my awesome hubby…mowing down the weeds. Now we can get to the sandbox and garden and make use of the yard without the need for safari gear. Never fails, always some maintenance needed with every project. He’s such a handy guy to have around. 🙂 Watching Daddy mowing. Enjoying the rediscovered sandbox.

FOR TODAY April 22, 2013 Outside my window… more sun and wind. I am thinking… about what I need to get done in the garden this week. I am thankful… for Scott fixing my wagon. Hurray! I am hearing… big kids doing school work and Caleb yelling at Ben to get off his bed. From … Continue reading
Zucchini Pasta
I love it when I find a recipe that the whole family loves. Care Bear, who normally only tolerates squash, asked for thirds and everyone else gobbled it down and asked that I make it again. This is a recipe I adapted from one I found on allrecipes.com. 10 ounces pasta (I used bowtie) 1 … Continue reading
Butternut Squash Bisque
Last fall DH and I had the opportunity for a date night at one of our favorite restaurants. We both tried their fall special of butternut squash bisque and enjoyed it immensely. We have both (Dh especially) mentioned it many times to friends. Since we don’t live anywhere near this particular restaurant I knew that … Continue reading

I am thinkingÂ… about today being the first day of … Continue reading
Faith In Transitions
I wrote this blog last month, but didnÂ’t have the time or internet access to post it. Then it of course got forgotten in the hustle and bustle of the unpacking and holiday events. I finally remembered it today. ItÂ’s been a long, hard year with lots of difficult transitions and the changes in our … Continue reading
Out of the Fog
I feel like I’m finally coming out from under a heavy fog. All last fall I had that feeling that my mind and body had been stretched to the limit, but taking a break wasn’t an option; so I just kept going. Well, a person can only continue like that for so long before you … Continue reading
Going Home
Hooray! We are at 84% and finally have a date set for heading home. Lord willing, we will be leaving Colorado no later than October 12. We are actually planning on being out of our apartment here by the end of September so we may get on the road a little earlier than that. It … Continue reading
Broccoli Chicken Braid
I am posting this recipe at the request of my sister. I found it online a couple weeks ago, but hadn’t tried it until she inspired me to do so with her Facebook post about the braid she made. Here is the original recipe: 2 c chicken, cooked and chopped 1 c broccoli, … Continue reading
